Why can they block my web surfing?You
log on to the computer at work..try to go to your favorite site and BOOM!a blank page ....or worse a warning page that let's you know you have reached a blocked page.The warning page may have a sinister sounding message like"you have attempted to reach a site that has been identified by the administrator as being unsuitable".
Well obviously it is a crime against humanity to try to go to Myspace!!!.But you should take this seriously because in many cases the same system that "knows" you tried to reach a banned page;knows who you are by various things such as the ip addresss of your computer!.What to do .Well you can wait till you get home or go somewhere else and use a unblocked computer.But a easy solution is to use a kind of site know as a proxy server.On the right side of the page I have several links to sites that allow you to use such a site for free.
